Instead they all post inane crap to Twitter and Facebook. Getting these kids to actually form a coherent thought and then defend it, through writing more than a single sentence (or sentence fragment!) is quickly becoming a lost art.
I look at some Twitter feeds and all I see are millions of poorly-educated, misinformed, short-term thinkers who care more about what some moron pop star is wearing than actually understanding the complexities of the world around them. They’d rather stay in their little bubbles and tweet to each other. Instead of forming an original thought they rely on people like Glenn Beck and Oprah to *tell them* what to do and how to think. Sad and pathetic.
