I was a lot more sympathetic (not much) when I chose to believe they were just dumb

Having now been informed they threw their soft, squishy bodies in the midst of the hard boulders of international politics I have sympathy whatsoever for someone so dumb.

And I used to take the media out to film things.

Very enlightening

The story is essentially written before the reporter ever leaves the office.  Any interviews, film or events are edited to then fit the story.

Which explains how despite being a relatively intelligent adult I could watch an event beside the reporters and not recognize what they later wrote.
