C’mon, folks ... give Julia Mancuso some respect. Enough with Vonn and her bellyaching about her shin. Julia is now the most-decorated woman Olympic alpine skier in American history. Surely that’s worth dumping the ‘Golden Girl’ for? Or is Red Bull calling the shots for *everything* on the mountain?

What’s getting my goat is this Vonn promotion idiocy. Besides virtually ignoring Julia Mancuso ... how about Anja? Anja Paerson crashes terribly, skis Combined in what must be horrible pain [she hit face-down at what commentators said was around 70mph] ... and what do we hear about?

Vonn made it pretty clear after her gold medal, she’s happy. She’ll just sit back and milk the publicity and pity. I don’t look for her to medal again.
Mancuso smells opportunity, I’m rooting for her.
i agree, Julia does deserve more credit, she has really skied above where she has been all season. I fear that she has a little too much ‘goof’ in her for the nbc wonks
