2020 hindsight being what it is, i think that was a blivet in front of that map ...
blast from the past, again. i worked here for a summer, casting porcelain 'nutcracker' dancers, and petals for roses. slip, or liquid porcelain, is really cool stuff. we had pipes overhead, and a sort of gas nozzle to fill the plaster molds with. each section of a piece would take a different amount of time to set up. small things set up fast, large things take longer. it was a great deal like cooking; only you had about eight things to keep track of at any one time, and a quota to meet.

if you have to perform professional presentations, don't give your audience powerpoint. port it over to the tvl director 4. used to do this for 750/day plus expenses. it's mission-specific, and great for installations.
when you've talked yourself out at a meeting, driven a couple hundred miles, seen so much landscape ... it sort of empties one out. my mind can't latch onto anything specific ...

i carry my camera stuff in a lowepro orion aw; after a couple of years of using it, one thing has become patently obvious ... slamming the stuff in pockets for wandering around is easier and less obvious. keep it in the car. my shoulders are killing me ...
