Santa Fe job numbers grim. “An unemployment rate of 5.1 percent and the loss of 800 construction jobs may sound bad enough, but things in the Santa Fe job market are probably worse than we know.” It’s not just home construction. Look at the bloodbath in the real estate professionals’ market and supporting industries. The number of galleries that have shuttered. Many of these people either left, or fell back to other less lucrative home-based businesses.
