Webdesigner Depot: Outlook takes on Gmail with huge new update.

Yeow. I’ve got a couple of accounts on Outlook - can’t wait to kick the tires on this. Tired of looking at ol’ Gmail, which seems feature-frozen.

The Outlook iPad app has become my app of choice there, even for Gmail. I give Microsoft credit…if they go down, it’s going to be fighting.

Heh - don’t stop at the tires, and don’t stop kicking until you’ve kicked out all the kruft. (Some people like an abundance of options, though, so ymmv…)

The MS universe of apps has been a real mishmosh over the past year. Get out of Outlook, and you can even find Windows 3 looking stuff.

Clients are using the Mac desktop Outlook application - for a single Gmail account. If you use Gmail to check POP3 addresses, it seems to have no method for filtering or responding to those addresses.

A real black hole, IMHO.
